Virtual Meetings Tips and Tricks
  • Make sure everybody knows how to log on. If somebody is new at this, give them a step by step guide to the resource you are using.
  • Stay focused. During the meeting focus on not only your presentation but on what others are saying as well. Don’t check emails or be on your phone when others are talking.
  • Take time to explain do’s and don’ts – silence phones, mute yourself when you’re not talking, have good lighting.
  • Use video when possible. Non-verbal communication is key! Listen to what others are NOT saying.
  • Give everybody a chance to speak. Don’t interrupt.
  • Create an agenda and stick to it. This is not the time for bad meetings.
